A little bit about the library
Our School library is the original school building that opened in 1884. It is a listed NZ Heritage building.

The library is opened Monday-Friday at lunchtimes and Monday-Thursday during class time. There is Lego in the library Tuesday and Thursday lunchtimes. Also there are chess sets available during lunchtimes as well.
The librarian is Mrs Kewish and she is available Monday-Thursday 7.30am-3pm in the library or at tkewish@tamahere.school.nz
Every class visits the library once a week and can issue books. We have book week and dress up as a book character day once a year, usually in term 3.
Other happenings in the library....50 book challenge, holiday reading, book week activities and competitions, Lit Quiz team trainings, Scholastic Book Fair (if Covid allows).
