Six stations were set up around the library. Some fiction and some non-fiction. The students had 3 minutes at each station to select a book that looked interesting to them. They then wrote a little about that book and answered a few key questions.
Would you read this book?
Would you recommend this book to your friends?
Comment about the book?
Fun was had by all and many students went away with a book they might not have otherwise read or noticed.
A special thanks to Mrs Singleton for the wonderful idea
Based on the book by Andy Griffiths and Terry Denton
Who wouldn't want to live in a treehouse?! Especially a 13-Storey Treehouse that has everything, including a bowling alley, a secret underground laboratory, self-making beds, a vegetable vaporiser and a marshmallow machine that shoots marshmallows into your mouth whenever you're hungry.
Andy and Terry live there, create stories together and have a series of completely nutty adventures.
Andy Griffiths’ and Terry Denton’s best-selling book, the one and only, super-famous, ultra-brilliant The 13-Storey Treehouse has been turned into an incredible play. AND YOU’RE INVITED!
There’s just one problem. They forgot to write it! And where will they find flying cats, a mermaid, a sea monster, an invasion of monkeys and a giant gorilla? Luckily they have a box full of costumes and props, some pretty awesome technology and a truckload of imagination!
One of the cleverest, funniest and most interesting plays I have seen.

Adapted by Richard Tulloch (The Book of Everything, Bananas in Pyjamas), The 13-Storey Treehouse has sold out at Sydney Opera House and around Australia. The Auckland season is brought to life with a seriously funny cast and magical moments of theatrical wizardry.
Just remember to USE YOUR IMAGINATION!
“It’s got the same feeling as the book, which is all the fun of inventing things and creating them and then them going out of control” says author Andy Griffiths, who has won over 50 children’s choice awards and been on the New York Times bestseller list. “There’s a lot of joy and fun.”
The New Zealand season features an all-Kiwi cast, with Damien Avery as Terry, Ryan Dulieu as Andy and Elle Wootton playing Val the Stage Manager.

Look out for competitions and activities happening in the library over the next few weeks!
